The Central Library of GCET, Jammu started in a old Campus of University of Jammu, Canal Road Jammu in small room in the year 1994, and moved to its present own premises at Chak Bhalwal in 2016. For the last four decades the library has been the lifeline of the academic activities of the Institute. The college offer UG courses in Civil, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical and Computer Engineering and PG Courses in Electronics & Communication, Mechanical and Computer Engineering branch of engineering. . It has been catering to the needs of our students of undergraduates, postgraduates, faculty members and staff members of the various departments of the college.

Information Collection:
         Library have good Collection of more than 33000 documents under three section i.e. Govt., Book Bank & TEQIP section and presently providing access to IEEE Xplore – All society Periodicals Package (ASPP Online)+ Proceedings Order Plans (POP Online) e- journals and back file access since 2000 and also there are 6000+ e-Journals and 199500+ e-books access through NLIST. The collection consists of Books, Back-volumes of Periodicals and Conference Proceedings.
